I've taken my cats to Adobe for more than 7 years and they helped me through the deaths of both of them within a 10-day period last winter (one from kidney failure and one from cancer). If you have animals who are older or chronically ill, it's wonderful to have all of their records available day or night to whomever is on duty. And it's very reassuring that there IS always someone on duty there. One of my cats was hospitalized twice there during his life and he received excellent care in their intensive care ward, where I was able to visit him. No, it wasn't cheap, but I don't think it would have been any less anywhere else. If you want to take the best care of your sick pets that you can, it will never be cheap. The prescription costs have been much lower there than they were at my local vet (Adobe is half an hour away from where I live) and they have always seemed eager to help me save money, when possible.
