I've been searching for a clean and comfortable spa where I would feel like people know me vs. being in a ""cattle call"" type setting. I was walking around downtown San Mateo and saw Fusion a Modern Day Spa, totally unlike me I decided I would go for it and walk in on a whim. I asked for a brochure and was invited to take a tour of the spa...how nice! It was lovely as were the front desk staff and the technicians, who I was warmly introduced to as I was shown around the spa. I met Mary, one of the estheticians and she was so nice I decided to go for it and schedule a brazilian wax. She had just had a cancellation, so I just went for it. It had been some time since I'd had a waxing, and Mary was so patient and kind, making sure I was comfortable. She took her time and made sure to check in with how I was doing. It was a great experience (for a not so comfortable service!!). They also carry Bumble & Bumble, and I scheduled hair color with Jasmine, the ""colorist""...she was also a sweetheart!
