We were given a gift certificate from our real estate agent when we first moved to Raleigh from Atlanta, so we thought we would give it a try. First, let me say that we have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world and have high expectations when several people tell us this is one of the ""Best in Raleigh"". The wait staff was great, as is the sommelier and the wine list, plus the bar tender makes a mean dirty martini & vodka tonic. Our apps were nice, but then again, raw oysters do not take talent except to not hurt oneself when opening. My husband had a steak with the normal starch and vegetable, which was overcooked, and I had a bland seafood pasta dish that left much to be desired. In fact, I did not touch it until the next day when I reheated it, adding my own spices. The cheese pots and bread were even tasteless. For the outrageous price, mediocre food, and crazy ambiance, I can say we will not be back. I really cannot believe that so many people were there. We cannot wait to go back to Chops in Atlanta for real steak and seafood.
Pros: Wine List, Sommelier, Service
Cons: Food, Price, Decor
