We experienced Victory Tavern for the first time on a Tuesday evening as a birthday celebration dinner for three people. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and decor, and the staff were courteous. However, the food service needs major improvement. The bread was served still partially frozen. The roasted sweet corn soup, although very tasty, was not served warm enough and to me this is a major criterion for soup. We ordered the pork chop, fettuccini and scallops as our entrees. The scallop dinner was served and eaten before the other two dinners were delivered to the table. The fettuccini was relatively good but again served barely luke warm. I am a huge fan of asparagus, so ordered the ""jumbo asparagus"" side dish which consisted of 3 spears that were smaller than the size of a pencil. With all the competition in the Dallas metroplex, Victory Tavern is going to really step up to the plate in order to be successful.
