Okay...here goes. I'm a pretty mellow person. I am not one to complain if the water is a little too cold or too hot. I should kick myself for responding to one of those street advertisements about "great hair." I went up the stairs and walked in. I was greeted by a Russian woman who was very rude. I asked if I could get my hair highlighted. She did not speak. She pointed to a woman eating chips. "Ester" told me to sit down in her chair. She was on lunch but would work me in. (Noone else was there). She ate another few chips then wiped her hands on her shirt. She ran her fingers through my hair before I could say anything. I told her that I had just gotten my hair cut a few days before but wanted highlights. She looked at my hair and said there were a few jagged cuts. She said she would clip them for free. She took me to the sink, washed my hair, splashed water all over me, then pointed to a cabinet to get a towel! I am not joking.
She looked at my eyebrows and said..you need to get these threaded. I said that Ididn't have time but I would come back. She said that she could do it in 5 min. I agreed. As she colored my hair, I had to be her assistant, holding foil, cups, etc. I don't mind helping but she would "huff" if I didnt have the foil folded on the little plate fast enough for her. I felt bad for being slow! (Remind me why I paid for this?)
I have to say that the color turned out great. I will not discount that. The customer service and professionalism is just disgusting. My eyebrows looked great too. The threading was relatively painless and did not take a long time.
My grand total was 300. Yes, thats right. She tacked on "deep conditioning" charges (30 bucks) because she put conditioner on my hair, charged me for a hair cut because she trimmed one area, and charged me for a 2 process color (the highlights). I paid for the services, but when they asked if I wanted a card, I replied "Are you being serious? I will never come back here." Avoid!
Pros: color was good, threading painless
Cons: unprofessional, dirty, tacked on charges
