Probably the friendliest and most welcoming church in Indiana, great learning expierience, and fun 8/5/2007

This church is great! the few times i've went everybody has been so nice and welcoming! in the juniors sunday school, we actually read out of the bible and the teachers are hilarious and they explain it in a fun way so you learn a lot everytime. in other churches i've been to, you don't actually read the bible or learn anything in the sunday school or actually go out into the church with the adults or listen to the choir or preacher, but here you do. they choir is so in tune and they have great songs. the pastor's dad leads it and he's great! and they have there own singing group and all of the singers but one is in their family. it's called the Lifeboat Quartet and they're great. it's the pastor and most of his family. i'm a kid and i like them, even though some don't all the kids at this church seem to. and something else i've never seen is kids going up and singing solos, and singing in the choir. Larry Waters, the pastor, is great! he knew kids were listening so if there was something he didn't think kids or adults would get when he was reading the bible- which was extremely helpful while i was reading along- he would explain it like the sunday school teachers did. he didn't do it in the same way as them but i still enjoyed it. Westside United Baptist Church is just a great expierence and i look forward to going from now on. Pros: The preacher explains everything so it makes sense, and they include the kids in everything and no matter how packed it looks from the cars there is always a place to sit inside. Cons: sometimes its hard to find a parking space becuase its so crowded. more
