I have loved Gigi's since I moved into the neighborhood. They make a wonderful selection daily selection of organic dishes including salads, quiches, fabulous soups, sandwiches and some amazing dessert items i.e. pastry, brownies.\r

The know how to make a good cafe con miel (which most coffee shops do not) and they have a large selection of wines by the glass and a nice beer selection as well.\r

The dining room is pretty large with internet hookups and the other side is more like a romantic wine bar and there is plenty of outdoor seating on 36th avenue with some shade available and good people watching;a nice neighborhood hardware store next door as well.\r

They are very recycle and re-use conscious, so an earth friendly choice as well. It's a great place for families, definitely for singles, and a nice date place. It's a hangout for bikers both motor and non, joggers,walkers and everyone in between. It appeals to all of the diversity of the neighborhood and it's nice to see the wide array of people that live in that area. I wish there were many more such as this in our neighborhood(s)\r

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, but often very slow - esp if it's busy, so you need patience. If you're in a hurry, don't expect to get in and out quick with your morning coffee on the weekend. I\r
f you have some time to spare, hang out for a while with your neighbors and enjoy.
