My daughter and I walked in at exactly 8pm and the counter person said ""Sorry, we can't cook for you."" The tables were full of people that were seated and eating; we simply wanted a burger to go. I mentioned that we would not be dining in, that people would probably be seated at the tables long after we left with our to-go food, please could they just fry up a burger really quick? The answer - ""sorry, my boss's rules."" We had done nothing wrong other than walk in at the exact minute of closing. Customers at their tables and in the parking lot gave us sympathetic looks as if to say ""if it was my place I would have made you a quick burger.""\r

Well, FU ""Al's"". I'm happy to never go there again. Try Oscar's in Berkeley, they respect the customer.\r
