My husband and I moved into one of DTN's complexes last year. When our son was born I had to take time off work. We were consequently late on our rent in January of 2007. We were told that we would have until the 18th to pay or we would be taken to court. My husband dropped off our rent ten minutes after their office opened on the 18th. Five minutes after their office opened they filed court papers against us. That tacked on another $300. This caused us to be late the next month and the next month and the month after that. We have been to court with them 4 times in 6 months. We also cannot give our rent to our resident manager. We have to either mail it or drive it to their offices in lansing. After our last court date we decided to borrow some money and pay off our lease. Then we got another notice to quit claiming that we owed them almost $1000. Explain that.
