I have eaten at two Mike Andersons (Gonzales and BR). I am not sure what everyone raves about. The seafood and other foods were not anything out of the ordinary for this type of restaurant. I guess its a local favorite type of thing. I have spoken to a few of people here, that have lived here for all their lives. They ALL indicate that M.A. has gone down hill in the past several years. They always say ""Its not like what it used to be"" I have only lived here a few years, but, I hope its not what it used to be, because it was average to me...
