Disappointing for client and employees 7/18/2007

I came to redeem a gift certificate, hoping that all those bad reviews were wrong. They were right. No acknowledgement, gossip obviously more important than clients showing up at the front desk. Quiet area is smaller than most other spas.. it is tight and I'm a small girl. Hugo gave me a relaxing massage and Karen was very soothing as well for my facial. I felt like these two individuals did a good job, but upon going to the reception desk to pay, once again no acknowledgement. I listened to one receptionist order spring rolls and bickering about the rest of his order, and another with her head down hiding. Another client filed in line right after me. Finally someone came and asked what we needed. She took care of the client behind me. Then the spring roll guy finally gets off the phone and asks what I needed. To pay, $150, perfect it comes out to the exact amount of my gift certificate, he takes it and goes back to the phone. I still stand there. Is there something else he asks. I'd like to tip by credit card. He says they do not do that there. I can go across the street to the bank or I can write a personal check to the employees and I can give it to him and he will give it to them. Karen and Hugo, I'm sorry, but I do not have time to dilly dally. I do not suggest gift certificates and make sure you have cash and patience. more
