Ate here last night, four of us.
Started with two apps, the Roasted Goat Cheese and the Crab Cakes. Both were great. I love goat cheese and, if you do, this one is a generous app. Loads of cheese and a thin layer of sauce, just enough to accent the goat cheese and the pita chips were baked. The Crab Cakes were interesting. Flavor great, looked forward to them based on how they looked. When I used my fork, the cake exploded. At first a little taken aback. used to Crab Cakes cooked longer and are, well...harder. As I ate them, it dawned on me that the "over-cooking" while making them easier to eat, eliminated the flavor of fresh crab, which these are. Live and learn.
Entrees: 2 stand out although all were above average, the 12 oz filet and the Tuna Steak. If you love tuna, get this. Served Rare the Tuna was perfect and really prepared well. Great flavor. The filet was great. Weird, better the meat, the less the flavor. so I chose to have a roasted red pepper crust added (suggested by the server, Jamie. The staff seems very knowledgeable and attentive so take advantage of them.) Great choice, never would have tried it on my own, but it was a great idea. Great cut of meat with a subtle peppery flavor added
For dessert, again a server suggestion, we all had the Palatine Sundae. Great suggestion. By dessert, you really don't want to even think of more food, but Jamie insisted and he brought us four of these tiny little sundaes served in tiny little glasses. We all wanted something sweet but nothing big and this was it. Perfect ending to a great meal.
Service was great. Nice to see a staff of people who really care about service and understand that the experience is more than serving food.
We ate in the bar area. It was a little loud and annoying,
Jamie told us that the menu was almost entirely new some big changes, some subtle ones.
