Low price, low service. You get what you pay for, but at least it's safe. 6/2/2007

Price is this hotel's best selling point. It may not be *the* cheapest, but it's safe. Problem is, they just did remodeling, and apparently they hired the wrong people. The bathroom doors doors do not close, basic features of construction are extremely poor. Still, the front doors are solid and built well, and as a local I can tell you the hotel isn't in the 'bad' part of town. So called 'continental breakfast' consists of the bare amenities - some dough nuts, some cereal, and choice of two juices. That's it. USA Today is provided for free, and the staffing seems really nice (through they do tend to barge in if you don't put up the 'do not disturb' sign. Internet is slow (single DSL) but works solidly, cable and HBO provided, large TV provided. It's relaxed - nobody puts on any airs of this place being anything other then what it is - a budget hotel, for us common folk. Favorite location of truck drivers, there is 18 wheeler parking in the back. Pizza delivery goes here. Oh, before I forget - electrical in this hotel is ancient - it works, but bring a surge protector, and don't expect to hook up anything more then a laptop while the microwave (provided) is running. Make CERTAIN that you HAVE a microwave, TV, fridge, remote, alarm clock etc. and inspect the room before you move your things in - saves a lot of trouble. And if the lights flicker when you turn on the microwave, get a new room - trust me. All and all, it's worth it's price, when you're spending a night or two on business or visiting a friend - but not if you're on vacation and seeking luxury. Pros: Ample parking, Truck Parking, Large TV, Plentiful AC, Solid Doors Cons: Bathrooms remodled poorly, Electrical Ancient, Cable TV of poor quality in some rooms. more
