This restaurant is the best find in our neighborhood. The food is very fresh, unique, well presented and tasty. There is an emphasis on healthful eating, but plenty of yummy treats like their famous Corn Pudding and their Sweet Potato Fries. The Lago Omelette is by far the best in town. I have read the other reviews you have of this place and consider that mean spirited and unfair. The staff is very nice, the morning waitress is very thorough and pleasant and on nights and weekends the wait staff has lots of cute, helpful young men. The owner is always there and she is funny and never stops working. She's not one to come up to a table and schmooze, but she is very efficient and is always on top of things. The place is small so staff conversations can tend to carry over, but I still manage to be able to do my reading, etc. I like going because I enjoy patronizing the small businesses in my community and they do their stuff well. On Fridays we like the live music on the patio.
