I recently dined at the O'Keeffe Cafe (next to the museum) and was absolutely blown away by the experience. The weather was nice, so we had dinner outside on the spacious patio. Their wine list is second to none, with many gems to choose from-they were understandably proud of it. We had a lovely bottle of malbec (Tikal Amorio, $60), which came highly recommended by our waiter, Ben. Ben was quite possibly the best we have ever seen when it comes to taking of guests...he was perfectly attentive without ever becoming intrusive. All the staff was fantastic.\r
The food was exquisite. We were there at 6:15, which is just before they stopped serving their Early Bird Dinner special. For $31, we had one of the best meals we've ever had. I started with the Coconut Shrimp and my wife had the Baby Greens salad. The sauce with the shrimp was tangy and sweet, complementing the coconut perfectly. The dressing on the salad was very unique and delicious. For the main course, I had the cafe's signature dish-Elk Tenderloin. I honestly have no words to accurately describe it, except to say TRY IT!!\r
I would send anyone and everyone I know to this tucked-away, classy, and wonderful establishment. Great Experience.
Pros: Service, Wine list, food, atmosphere.
Cons: A bit off the beaten path.
