We were headed to Psychobabble in Los Feliz later at night (around 9:45 or so on a weekday), and stopped at Il Capriccio to grab dinner first. Even though the restaurant was almost closed for the night, our server was excellent and accommodating. We split a rotini pasta in red sauce (with delicious mushrooms and eggplant), which was served promptly and brought to us already split on two separate plates (with no charge for splitting). And truly, a single serving was enough for both of us. The meal was at a perfect temperature, great flavor, and the vegetables were very fresh.\r

Also, we were served fresh bread with olive oil dipping sauce almost immediately after we ordered, and they replaced the basket for us with our dinner. The waiter was friendly and prompt with drink refills.\r

All in all, I highly recommend the restaurant. It was crowded late on a weekday night, so I'm not sure how easy it is to get a table on the weekend. The only con of the place was that some of their dishes take a little while to prepare, so that close to closing, there were several chicken plates that were no longer available. The pasta we ate was perfect, though, and we'll definitely be back again soon.
