I'm originally from LA and moved to Durham for college, and I had a lot of trouble selecting a hair salon. I went on Citysearch and saw that Samuel Cole had very good reviews, and I decided to give them a shot. My stylist was Meghan, and she was absolutely wonderful. I went in kind of having an idea of what I wanted (I had carmel highlights originally with dark brown hair, and wanted something different but wasn't quite sure where to go with the color), but Meghan took the time to listen and offered very helpful suggestions until we finally decided on something. When I was done, I was amazed because the color turned out way better than I would have expected! The salon was very inviting and the decor was beautiful. The stylists all seemed very enthusiastic and sociable. I'm usually very picky when it comes to salons because I've had a handful of hair mishaps, but I was really glad I gave Samuel Cole a chance because I am so happy with my hair and will definitely come back.
