Last night my husband and I went to Brasa to find out what all the hype was about. We've been to a Brazilian restaurant before in another city so we were excited to find out that there was a Brazilian Steakhouse in Raleigh. The restaurant is beautiful!They have a grande piano and live music which created a very classy atmosphere. We made reservations but wanted to have a glass of wine at the bar first. The wine list was exquisite and the bartenders were very educated about the different wines. We we were ready to have dinner our table was ready and waiting for us. The staff at Brasa was very freindly and helpful. Brasa has a huge salad bar with tons of appetizers to choose from. I don't know how anyone could go hungry at this place. Also there is the hot bar with plenty of food you can find there like the tradtional fried bananas, black beans and yellow rice. This meal is fit for a King or Queen and at this point we hadn't even got to the main course yet. After we were done filling up on this we were ready to start the rodizio meat service. This is when the servers bring the large selection of meats to your table. There is everything from filet, top sirlion and bottom, chichen wrapped in bacon, pork loin, lamb just to name a few. Because at this place you can eat all you want I couldn't get enough. Don't let me forget my favorite cut of meat was the house specialty it's called picanha which is a very flavorful cut and the server told be it was similar to prime rib but it was a cut that is specially ordered for the restaurant. By this time I was so full but the servers brought dessert and I couldn't resist. I took most of it home because I was so full but the dessert were amazing. The servers told be that are made fresh everyday. I had the Banana Brule and my husband has Creme de Papaya. Which were great. For the food, atmosphere and the money there is no place better in town and we will be back often. Thanks Brasa for bringing this wonderful restaurant to town !
