My husband and I took my parents to Everest when they were visitng, and our experience was quite good. Getting into the parking garage and taking the two separate elevators made us feel like we were James Bond and was a nice start to the evening. We were seated immediately, not right near the window, but close enough that we could enjoy the view. Our waiter was quite stuffy and stiff but knowledgeable.\r

The meal was quite good. The amuse-bouche was a little disapointing, but everything else was excellent. We each ordered the 3-course menu, and each of us chose a seafood appetizer and entree. The standouts were the scallops and the peeky toe crab cocktail, and the dover sole and the grouper. The desserts were decadent, and the mignardises and petits fours were a very nice touch at the end of the meal. \r

Having dined at other Relais et Chatau restaurants on the east coast, I have to say that Everest falls a little short of those, mainly for the stuffiness of the service. However, the food was well-prepared and flawlessly served. I don't know if we would go back, but we did enjoy a very nice evening.
