I feel like Bayard's is a second home. I'm always greeted and treated like family!! 5/12/2007

I keep looking for something to dislike, and I can never find a reason. I've tried everything on the menu and have enjoyed every meal. \r \r This is the first revue I've ever written. I don't like crowded bars at all. I usually can find a quiet time at Bayard's, and when the place starts hopping ( usually on the weekends - Thurs - Sat), I can find a quiet corner there or just leave.\r \r One of my favorite menu items is the Irish Beef Stew. It has a ""down-home, comfort food"" quality that fills me up without over stuffing me. As summer approaches, I am going to have to find a new favorite, as this one is a winter dish.\r \r The bar replaces an old favorite of mine, namely, the Sazarak House. I never thought I'd be so quick to become a turn-coat on a favorite restaurant, but they aren't competing. As much as loved the Saz, these folks have re-invented this landmark location in their own vision. They haven't tried to copy or steal from the last place. I still miss the Sazarak House, but feel the scene in Bayard's Ale House is warmer and more comfortable/casual.\r \r If you are looking for a gastro pub with a flare for more than bar food, I would definitely recommend Bayard's Alehouse. \r \r I still hope to God that nobody reading this comes. The last thing I want to see is a line at my favorite place!!!!\r \r Peace & Good Eats,\r Craw\r \r more
