zzy's at San Carlos has a different environment from that located in S.F. San Carlos feels more refined. I must say the Cowboy Ribeye is a good choice for those who into ribeye. I always get the Filet Medallions. They are great. I have tried them medium and the other times medium-rare. I would go with medium rare if you enjoy that cooking selection. The drinks are great and the service is good. The cons would be no dry-aged meats but don't worry, all of their meats are great and come with choices of sides which I love. The Izzy's own potatoes are worth trying. We have been able to get the Drunken Shrimp as an appetizer which I recommend. They are tasty. I always order it when I arrive. They are so good. I can't get enough of them. The only draw-back as I said is they do not serve dry-aged, but maybe they will in the future. Izzy's is a great place to eat and is cheaper than Bobo's and Ruth Chris although they are steaks are of different levels. Don't be fooled from the prices. I think it is cheap for the food you get and the quality it is served at. At plate of Filet Medallion with two sides at just $30? It would be the same price eating at a generic placed such as Black Angus with bland food. I have taken many people and they have enjoyed the Izzy's experience. It is worth going for a night. IThe one in San Carlos is a better location than San Francisco. I have yet to go to the one in Marin. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I have. It is so good, I am having my party at Izzy's the next month so all of my visitors can enjoy a good father's day/ graduation as a premier restaurant.
Pros: Great food for the price... you can not go wrong.
Cons: Wish they had a bigger selection of meat.
