This is my first review on msn. I am so frustrated I had to write it. I have been going to Van Michael for at least 8 to 10 years, actually since one of their owners was a New Talents stylist. In the last 18 to 24 months I have been continuously disappointed. My stylist left Van Michael about 24 months ago. So I tried a new one?thinking of course that I would be pleased with any Van Michael stylist. (I am pleased with a consistent haircut and a prompt appointment.) I tried a new stylist who was excellent. He had been at VM for as long as I had. He left VM within 2 months. I tried another stylist who had been there forever. He was great. He left before by next appointment. This happened a 3rd time between the Buckhead and Midtown locations. Not only does there seem to be high turnover with the stylists but the greeters are NEVER the same and are terribly incompetent. I?ve had calls after calls confirming appointments I never had or had then cancelled. I even had an appointment cancelled only to learn about it when I arrived?and this was for a wedding consultation. I also have been double-booked 4 times in the last 2 years! I guess when you are new to a stylist you do not matter much! One time my stylist started another appointment the same time I arrived. If I wasn?t there with my mom for a wedding consultation then I would have walked out. I should have though because the last straw was that my wedding stylist was over one hour late the day of my wedding and forgot what style I wanted for my hair. I thought the $125 hair consult two weeks earlier was supposed to prevent that from happening. Van Michael: What is going on? The stylists still seem to be well-trained but the operations is suffering so much that this long-term client will never go back.
