Since Bushwick isn't exactly filled with dining options, Northeast Kingdom is a reliable standby for a mellow, low-key dinner. However, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone outside the area. The drinks are nothing special and the variety isn't the greatest -- sadly lacking appetizers that don't involve toast. The sandwiches, salads, and desserts are all recommended (try the banana cream pie). My only other complaint is that they aren't open very late, so get there early while the kitchen is open. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to large groups, since it's pretty small and table space can be limited.
Pros: Chill atmosphere, good food/desserts, the only one of its kind in the neighborhood.
Cons: Not enough variety, could have later hours, waitstaff stand-offish.
