Pressures Techs for information to use to thier own means 4/11/2007

Recently, I've been looking for work in PC support and Remington called me in for an interview. All was going well and status quo until they asked me to tell them who else I had applied with. The reason being is that they don't want to double apply me for any positions. When I wouldn't tell them who I was also applying with I was sublty threatened with the statement that if they don't know what's ""On my plate"" then thet won't send me out on an interview.\r The reason they ask for this information is so that they can contact the companies that you supply them and either apply another person for the job, so now you in competition with your own recriuter's people that may or may not be more qualified than you, or once you have done all the leg work and scored all the interviews and made all the contacts then Remington will come in and claim the rate for the position that you have landed without them.\r If some agency asks you to devulge who else you are applying with and become insistant on getting that information then become suspicious of them. They have alterier motives. Don't be presured! more
