WOW. There are some truly bitter peeps below reviewing the one and only Rancho! Obviously some guy drama there affected them deeply...no matter, the Rancho is a true dive, your neighborhood home away from home, Cheap, strong drinks, a great jukebox (Pixies, Fugazi, Sonic Youth, Iggy, anyone?) and lots of pool playing...all in a cozy lodge-esque environment. One of the things that makes this place special is- like Altadena proper- there is such a variety of clientele- little mod kids, punkers, artists, old guys, blue collar workers, 'regular' guys- and all ethnicities as well. Gotta love it. If you don't you have probably been at the trendoid cheesy Mcbars for too long and your brain is warped.
