I love this restaurant. Although on a weekend evening you can wait as long as an hour, it is worth the wait. They will bring you beer and sake as you wait so that makes the time pass more easily. For those of you not familiar with Shabu , you get a boling bowl of water and a plate of meat and/or vegetables. Then you cook it and dip it in sauce and eat it. It sounds so basic but it is amazingly good. The beef is very fresh and I love the peanut sauce. The green tea is kinda smoky tasting and unique and is a perfect complement to the spice of the food and sauces. Free refills in the white rice too. Every once in a while there will be a group of 8-10 people trying to get in, but since it is bar seating only, I think they are crazy!!! I mean you can't even see half your party let alone talk to them! Go with a max of 3 other people or other people will stink eye you the whole night.
