I've heard so many raves (including Oprah's) about Sprinkles I decided I had to finally check it out. I have to admit I was a little disappointed. These cupcakes aren't great by any means. The Red Velvet was basically tasteless. The vanilla wasn't much better than that. These cupcakes are way overpriced for what you end up getting. I'd rather buy a dozen at the grocery store. This place is lucky for all the buzz that has helped make this one of the most overrated places in L.A. If you want a truly delicious Red Velvet cupcake, drive a few miles over to Sweet Lady Jane, theirs in the best in town.
