Having heard mixed reviews from friends, I went to check this place out. I am an intermediate knitter so I know some things about yarns, and have been in several other yarn stores in the city. I was impressed by their selection -- a lot of yarns of varying types and prices, lots of needles and hooks, also a lot of cute buttons that are perfect for knitting projects. That said, the service was awful. Most of the yarn is up high on the wall and has to be gotten down with a helper-hand type tool. So you do need the staff's help to even just browse. One girl who was helping me got very surly after getting down just the 2nd skein, and was downright rude within a heartbeat. Other sales staff were just knitting and chatting with their friends and not interested in customers. They acted like the customers were really imposing upon them everytime someone asked for help! I'm almost sad that they have a good stock because they were so unpleasant to deal with.
