This restaurant isn't far from my home, but it was only recently that I decided to try it. My guest and I were expecting a great experience, but we were left as cold as the weather outside.\r

After walking in the door, we were left standing and waiting. There were only a handful of occupied tables, but our hostess was nowhere to be seen. After feeling uncomfortable and awkward, we were finally seated in a booth where we were given... paper menus? A restaurant that charges 20-30 dollars a plate can't offer menus with real binding? Nit-picking aside, the decor was far from energetic. It was dull and cheesy. There is such a thing as taking a theme too far.\r

We started with the hummus which was spectacular. Some of the best I've ever had in the city. It's unfortunate that that was the best part of our meal. I ordered the Mahi Mahi, blackened; it was good. Not great, not stellar, just good. My fellow diner ordered a scallops dish. What a disappointment. We've seen bigger scallops sold for cheaper at mom-and-pop vendors. Even worse, the food was COLD. Considering the prices, I don't think it's too much to ask that the food be served fully cooked and still hot.\r

It's safe to say we will not be returning anytime soon.
