Complaints about Dizzy's brunch are well-founded, but it's an entirely different place during the week. I would never dream of going there on a weekend, and I live pretty close to the place. During the week the place is welcoming, usually not overcrowded, and not overpriced, which is why I find myself there at least once a week. The food is always good to very good and the service is always friendly at worst. It's also a different experience for dinner, when they class up the joint a bit with mood lighting and tablecloths. It certainly isn't inexpensive to eat there, but that's Park Slope for you. I never feel like I've overpaid for a meal. But again, weekend brunches at Dizzy's are for the foolish and desperate.
