La Mexicana is Manor's best Mexican restaurant. Ernesto Suarez is the owner and his recipes are straight from Mexico.
La Mexicana's Menudo contains no hominy. It's old style Mexican Menudo that is loved by the local Mexican Americans.
La Mexicana's Cheese Enchiladas are served in corn tortillas. The other Mexican restaurant in town serves their Enchiladas in flour tortillas. Not only does La Mexicana have the best Enchiladas in town, the restaurant also has the best Carne Guisada in town. The gravy of the Carne Guisada is absolutely delicious and the the meat is so tender it simply melts in your mouth.
Ernesto also has the best Salsa in town. It may well be the best salsa in Texas. I always have to get a refill on my salsa..
The service is perfect which is another thing you can't say about the competition, Ramos who has the worst service of any restaurant I have ever been to.
I review restaurants for the Manor Messenger Newspaper and believe me, La Mexicana Restaurant and Taqueria is the absolute best Mexican restaurant in Manor and one of the best in the Austin area.
La Mexicana also has the best prices and home made Tortillas. The restaurant is open a 6:00am for breakfast and they will stay open until 9:00pm or later if they have customers.
