The UVA shop is a nice idea in Williamsburg, but it severely disappoints. What it amounts to is a bunch of young kids trying to buy wine and sell it at twice the price from a Trader Joes. Example: now is the season for a Beaujolais and you can get a Georges Duboeuf at Trader Joes for 9 bucks- UVA sells it for 18. Besides that, the buyers at UVA wouldn't know a good wine if someone beat them over the head with a bottle of Chateau Neuf du Pape.
I recommend a cheaper joint or DOC Wine Shop on Broadway in Brookyn. UVA just plain stinks.
