This has been a family favorite for over 30 years. We drive from the northern suburbs for lunch or dinner several times a year. Yes, it it filled with many elderly people, but that is because they know good comfort food. Not unlike a diner, you can get a wide variety of food, there is something for everyone, and it is all quite tasty and homemade. The servers have all been there for years, know the regulars by name, and often go the extra mile for customers. Once I ordered a dish and the server gently suggested that I might be happier with something else, and then confidentially whispered -"" it just isn't as good as usual today"". Comfortable for all ages. I think my only complaint is the parking, they just need more of it but in that neighborhood it is at a premium and it isn't going to happen. Actually we are going there tonight!
Pros: Good food in a pleasant atmosphere, good service
Cons: Parking
