We are relatively new to the area and found this mover on the internet (we DID NOT check Citysearch - that was our first mistake). We scheduled them for a partial pack and move. Nobody came out to do an assessment of the belongings to ensure they came prepared with a big enough truck and to estimate how long it will take. An assessment is very common in the moving business! So, they show up in a 3/4 size truck for a 3 BR/2 BA house! When we moved in to the house, it took a full size semi! They start to pack and 45 minutes later they wanted to set minimum expectations - "If we get a good sized truck load to your new house, will that be OK?" When we set the appointment, they said that it would only take 1 day for the size house we moving out of. As the movers start doing their job, they tell us it's going to take more than one day. Another reason the company should have sent someone out for an assessment. The day goes on and the driver said to me and my husband (in 2 separate occasions) that 'they can accept tips' and "if we get a truckload over to the new house, you'll take care of us, right?" I'm sorry, that is RUDE! We had planned on tipping them, but to be reminded to tip them - doesn't that defeat the purpose of a tip. We finally get over to the new house and they left garbage, from the lunch that we provided them, in the garage. And my toilets were clogged! I realize that issues happen - TELL THE HOMEOWNER so we can make sure to find the plunger! Oh, and by the way, we payed double of what our estimate was. I will never recommend this company to anyone.
Cons: asked for tips, questionable handling of goods, not prepared, took many breaks
