Sold Our Room & Kept Our Belongings! 11/13/2007

We had a room for two for two nights cinfirmed from their online site.\r We arrived and paid for the room for two for two nights.\r Upon the second nights arrival our key cards would not open the door.\r The lady at the office said they had made a mistake and resold our room.\r They had no more rooms with two beds as they were sold out.\r They promised to ship our belongings to us Monday after locating them.\r They were all in one bag, together , and did not look like junk.\r They were on top of one of the desks in the room.\r She promised to call us if they could not be located.\r One week later I called and reached the same girl.\r She had not called as somone had removed the note on the wall with our phone number.\r At that point I believe nothing they say at all.\r They already had our phone numbers on the website confirmation ,\r and on the sign in card you sign to get your room.\r We had room 425 for the 12th and 13th of October of 2007.\r I am told it is their policy not to let me know who owns that unit,\r or to ever replace persoanl belongings,\r even when they locked us out in error,\r and removed those belongings. \r We are photographers and could have had thousands of dollars worth of equipment.\r I agree we are responsible if some unknown person breaks in to our room.\r But we feel the Motel should be responsible when they enter and remove items.\r There is no possibility this bag could have been confused with garbage or junk.\r I used Motel 6 faithfully for fofty years prior. I no longer trust or believe them at all.\r Cooperate Headquarters in Texas says they will do nothing. Pros: Always liked a simpl clean room for a reasonable price. Cons: Their reselling our room and keeping the belongings they removed without compensation is too much to bear! more
