When ""Star Bucks"" opened yet another store 500 feet from my office (because, you know, one can't possibly walk across the street to the one was already there), I decided to find an alternative. I found the best sort in J P's, because they're close to the University, and their espresso is great. Oh, and they're open Super Early, even on weekends. I don't know why ""city search"" doesn't have their hours on the page, but here, I'll give them to you: Mon-Thurs - 6 AM - 2 AM, Sun - 7 AM - 2 AM, Fri/Sat - 6 AM - 12 AM. \r

Other things that make this place a haven are the fantastic light, lots of room to hang out, and of course, wireless (and it's FREE, unlike at another giant coffee chain which I won't mention again). I haven't had a lot of the food, but I know the bagels aren't great. They're about as good as you can get in Austin, but that's not so great. But at least they have bagels! \r
