I was wary of The Toad House at first....It's in a strip mall, not a normal place for a pub. Some of the staff are alternative-looking, to say the least. And, there's no bar to belly up to, well, no stools at the bar, anyway.\r
Once inside, the strip mall disappears: the interior is transformed...they even made the acoustical ceiling look like wood. Very cozy and pub-ish, I would say. The staff are really friendly and attentive, despite their punk flavor. \r
The food is somewhat creative and quite tasty: I recommend the Toad Pie if you can handle Goat cheese. \r
The beer and wine selection is probably the best in the county. \r
As for the lack of bar stools, well, that's why I give them four out of five stars--not very comfortable for a solo patron.
Pros: The food is outstanding. The beer selection is huge.
Cons: Sometimes a little slow.
