I live fairly close, so the Toad house has become a ""treat"" for myself and family. The menu is DIFFERENT. It's not typical/boring. The ""pub food"" theme is wonderfully different from a typical pizza joint, or generic ""bar food."" The pizza options are wonderful (ie Goat Cheese, which I had NEVER tried before, and now LOVE). The beer selection is great for such a small establishment, catering to micro-brews, and unknown beers. The wait staff is VERY friendly, VERY efficient, and extremely responsive to the customers. Occasionally I take my wife there for quiet discussions over a beer, or I take one of my teenagers as a treat for doing particularly well on a school project. This place is ""off the beaten path"" of the corporate restaurant. If you've got hang-ups or predjudices about tattoos or body piercings, then definitely stay away. This is a place for people to be comfortable, not someplace to be stuck up, and condescending.
