I really can't say enough about Ofer Minka and Uptown Jewelers. I first heard about Uptown on the radio. My girlfriend and I both needed watch batteries. Once we went into the store, we didn't want to leave. Ofer and everyone who works in his store are so welcoming. Once they get to know you you become family. Ofer knows his customers - what they like, what looks best on them. He can tell you what you'll love before you see it. Ofer designed a wedding band and engagement ring set. This set sat in his case for quite a while. Whenever my girlfriend and I went into the store of course I'd try it on and get palpitations. He kept saying ""Darling, that ring will be for you"". Of course I just laughed and said ""I wish"". Needless to say what he had predicted came true. Two years later, with the entire store in tears, that beautiful ring was given to me by my now wonderful husband, Bill.
