I was just reading some of the other reviews for the Jekyll and Hyde Pub and I was a little puzzled that it is rated as being ""not"" a romantic place. After having drinks at the bar many times over the last few years, I decided to take my new girlfriend there for dinner. It could not have been more perfect. We went there on a Friday night and even though the place was packed, the charming hostess found seats for us right away. Our server was perfect -- I could not have asked for better. She always had a smile for us -- a welcome change from sulky, sour servers you find a lot in the city -- but when she understood that we were on a date, she went out of her way to make it a special evening for us. She was there when she had to be there and she was discreetly absent when we needed time for ourselves. Yes, the place was a little noisy at times -- it is a theme restaurant after all -- but that just allowed us more privacy at our own table. The food was delicious and the drinks were wonderful. They even had a smile for us when we were leaving. I have been a patron for a long time and I will continue to go ther with pleasure. Highly recommended!
