I have tried all sorts of sushi places in NYC (yo, choshi, bond, east, samba, hiro, butai, ginger, mizu and the like) and nobody comes close to Yama's fresh sushi and decent prices. The sushi pieces are of bigger than average portions and they just melt in your mouth! You have got to try the Shiro Maguro and Hamachi! YUMMY!!! I've tried so many other places and feel like they all come from the same crappy fish distributor. But Yama has by far some of the freshest fish!!! Don't come here if you are looking for a ""New York experience"". It's a low key, homely Japanese joint where you can dine in peace and quiet and it won't burn a hole through your wallet. LOVE IT!!!
