I love Paseo. Their ""medianoche"" is the best pork sandwich I have ever had. It has ruined any chance I have at enjoying a pork sandwich anywhere else, whether it be at another Cuban restaurant, a bbq joint, or a Vietnamese restaurant (and I love banh mis). The funny thing is, I didn't even realize that the sandwich made at Paseo was completely nontraditional until I moved to NY and went to every Cuban restaurant I could find, trying to get my fix. At first I thought the other restaurants just made bad medianoches. And then it became clear that it was Paseo that was making the ""bad"" medianoche...and that I will never find another one like it. I have been coming here for years and unfortunately have never tried anything else. I just love their medianoche too much to do that to myself.
Pros: The best sandwich ever, free corn on the cob, cheap
Cons: Busy and hard to get a table, closed for a month in winter
