After 15+ years as a real estate agent I never thought I would tell someone to rent as opposed to buying a home. However, I have now found a lender more horrible to work with than Countrywide! Their customer service is terrible. I have been trying to get answers from them since Dec. 9th and it is Jan. 19th. I now have a client trying to get a mortgage through a mortgage broker who told him ""I could probably get you a loan through Wilshire, but they are pretty bad to work with'. All I could say way 'Amen'.
Pros: None I can find so far other than talking a good story to 'hook' a client.
Cons: Poor customer service, rude, condescending, insulting agents.
