The dictionary defines a gratuity as ""a gift of money, over and above payment due for service, as to a waiter or bellhop; tip"". A friend of mine and I ate here last night and the food was good. What set me off was that there were only two of us and they automatically charged us a 15% ""gratuity"". I don't appreciate being forced to pay a ""gratuity"" when it is something that is subjective and that the buyer should be allowed to decide the amount of based on the service they received. I hope they're happy with their 15% ""gratuity"" because I will not be eating there anymore. If they had not forced me to pay a 15% ""gratuity"", I might've even left them a 20% gratuity on my own accord because that is what I usually do for good service. The service was acceptable by the way. With that in mind, the waiter (and Dalts) cheated themselves out of an additional 5% gratuity.
Pros: Food was good. Service ok.
Cons: Forced to pay 15% gratuity for only two people.
