My wife and I come to Sub Rosa at least twice a month--in our opinion it is the perfect neighborhood spot. The proprietor couldn't be friendlier, it has a nice warm family-friendly atmosphere, and the food for the most part is delicious, if not awe-inspiring. The pasta dishes won't leave you with leftovers, but they are flavorful and I never feel cheated on the price. The pizzas have actually improved in the last few months since they saw what Ken's was doing and tried some of those techniques. And the seasonal salads and desserts are not to be missed--both provide a great start and finish to a meal. I wouldn't recommend it for a group of 15, but it is perfect for a couple or foursome looking for a nice, casual meal at a reasonable price.
