OK but only for a short term lease. 9/1/2006

Southwind Apartments is an o.k. community to live in. The staff is somewhat helpful when you need things, and maintenance is pretty quick to fix problems in the house (except for the room they need to repaint, which remains gray with black stipes, yuck). Forget about getting a new gate remote or batteries if they die. The pool is clean and the grounds are well kept. The apartment wasn't clean when we moved in, but they cleaned and fixed the problems within the first few days. Overall, I think we pay a little too much for the level of service we are receiving. We've moved seven times around the country and have rented the entire time. This rental experience is close to the bottom of the list, ranking a 4 out of 10. The main factor is the extremely!!! poor insulation between apartments. Plan on losing sleep if you have noisy or heavy footed neighbors. My recommendation...move in if it's just a short term lease. Boy will that newly built home be a sight for tired eyes when we leave. Pros: Good, not great maintenance, clean facilities Cons: Poor parking some areas, poor insulation, no footpaths more
