Since hair color is something you don't want to play with, I checked City Search for the top salons in my area. I went to Gillian Bissett Salon first to check out the atmosphere and the staff vibe. It's a small salon in a great area. Nothing uptight about it. My appointment was during the week so it was quiet which was nice. Sometimes you just don't want alot of commotion around. Anyway, my stylist asked what results I wanted and I let her use her professional judgement. I wanted something closer to my natural color (dark brown) with something to give it some depth. The color and highlights turned out great. For anyone wanting to try this salon, I suggest a week day appointment since I am sure this place gets busy (as with most salons) on the weekends. Also, make sure to use the restroom before you get started as it is located upstairs. I didn't mind going upstairs with color all over my head and with the protective smock on....but some people may find that uncomfortable.
Pros: Not busy during the week. Great area.
Cons: Bathroom upstairs. Parking may be difficult to find.
