We had used Tidwell for years on a number of cars and been fairly happy but our recent experience with a 95 VW Cabrio was a very bad and expensive one and we won't be using them again. My car was in their shop for over 3 weeks and one hard to find part was replaced twice within those 3 weeks because there were problems with the first one. When I called back because I had not received timely follow up phone calls, I was told to 'be patient'. It was hinted that my main problem was my car selection and if I had a GM or Ford I would have had a better experience. It ended up costing me more than I expected, and I was forced to pay in cash, and did not recieve my used parts back which didn't give me any more confidence in the quality of my repairs.
Pros: Location is close to our house
Cons: level of service, communication and my confidence in their ability to work on VWs
