My first time at Kittichai was on Saturday evening with three friends and the experience turned out to be delightful. The restaurant is beautiful and the ambience perfect - dim lighting, sultry decor, good music, and orchids and candles galore. Surprisingly, the music was set at the perfect volume and my friends and I had no problems catching up over our delightful meal. We started with the shrimp, chocolate ribs (a must-try), and the tuna tartare, all savory. A friend raved over her whole fish while another enjoyed her pork dish. My boyfriend and I shared the monkfish in curry (surprisingly light) and the duck (flavorful with a crispy skin). The fried rice served in a carved pineapple was the perfect side dish. Most everyone had wine while I sipped a yummy dirty martini. Service was very quick and our server was polite. We will certainly return.
