Steadfast Tattoo is the only shop in Austin that I would recommend. The shop is clean, the people are very friendly (rather than gruff and WAY TOO COOL FOR YOU), and Pete is a fantastic artist. The images he conjures are instantly recognizable (I have picked out his work on people on the street, in restaurants, etc. --- the wearers confirmed their ink's origins). \r

I cannot give a review at this time of the piercing done at Steadfast.
PROS: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent artwork
CONS: not sure about piercing
